Yuvraj Singh took fans down the memory lane on Saturday as the World Cup-winning former India all-rounder struck as many as 4 sixes in a row in an over for India Legends against South Africa Legends in their group-stage match in Raipur. Yuvraj took the attack to medium-pacer Zander de Bruyne, hitting him for 4 sixes in a row during India Legends’ innings at the Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium.

Yuvraj Singh was in the mood to send out a few out of the park and he did so when facing the medium pacer. Yuvraj rocked back on the backfoot and hit a length ball over the mid-wicket fence in the 2nd ball of the over by de Bruyn. Yuvraj was at his vintage best as he flicked the next one over mid-wicket before hitting two more in the over.

Yuvraj Singh finished with a 22-ball 52, hitting 6 sixes and 2 boundaries as he pushed India Legends’ score to 204 for 3 in 20 overs. Yuvraj was at his free-flowing best as he hit sixes at will against the South Africa Legends bowlers.

Earlier in the day, fans were treated to some more vintage stuff as India Legends captain and batting great Sachin Tendulkar et Raipur on fire with a 37-ball 60. Tendulkar hit 9 boundaries and a six as he was in full flow after Virender Sehwag departed early.

While Yuvraj Singh remained unbeaten on 52, Subramaniam Badrinath retired hurt on 42. All-rounder Yusuf Pathan smashed 10-ball 23 while in-form Manpreet Singh Gony hit 16 from 9 balls.

South Africa Legends were restricted to 148 for 7 in response as India Legends won their final league stage encounter by 56 runs. India are likely to make it to the semi-final of the Road Safety World Series.
